Tradition in our family growing up, our dad always did an ugly egg.  So every year I do an ugly egg.  But this year, it just didn’t want to uglify.  It’s the one pictured below.  I put it in every color we had and it turned a pretty pinkish color for some reason, so then I mixed blue, orange, a bit of yellow and some purple all together.  The water color was hideous!  I soaked that egg for a good 10 minutes and this is how it came out.  Not too ugly, if you ask me.

And thanks to Costco, I didn’t have to make their Easter dresses!  And yes, I know Ashley and Amanda match and Eden is an odd one out, but I loved that blue dress and they were all sold out of the sizes for Ashley and Mandy.  So there.

Monday Moments #16

Almost spaced the post today.  Whew!

First day of Spring Break and the sun just barely came out and it’s almost 6:00 pm.

So here’s a quick post before we head out to play.

This is what my Easter decor looked like before the flowers died and someone took the blocks.  But don’t be too hard on that person, cause I offered her the blocks and for some reason she felt like she needed to pay me for them.

Aren’t these the coolest looking mums!  I don’t know what kind they are, the side of the container just said mums.

A couple of years ago, we made an Easter Tree!  Well, this year we saw the death of that Easter tree.  So Paul has been blowing eggs every time we have them and we’ve got almost 2 dozen to dye again this year!  So, don’t worry, the Easter Tree will live again (hee hee!)

Happy Monday Everyone!

Happy Monday Everyone!

I don’t know what it is about this week.  Maybe it’s because Ashley next huge book report will be done, or maybe it’s because this is the last week of school before Spring Break, OR, maybe it’s because it finally stopped snowing!!!  But it seems like it’s going to be a GREAT week!

Because of all the snow, we went…

sledding…

Where?

Our front yard!

It has a lovely wonderful slope, just steep enough for sledding.

Of course, at the top of the hill, it’s smiles all around!

Going down, well, not so much.

You could make a “freaked out” face.

Or scream!

Or just close your eyes all the way down like Ashley did.

Of course, at the bottom, it was all smiles, again.

When we were done sledding, I told the girls to go in and change out of their wet clothes into something WARM.

Well, she might not match, but at least it’s a long sleeved shirt and pants.

Long sleeves and pants, that’s good, but not the holes in the socks.

And then there’s Ashley’s outfit.  Short sleeves and short leggings.  But hey, at least she finished it off with knee-high Christmas socks!

Paul had a birthday this past week!

He’s such a wonderful husband.  He’s loving, patient, is an amazing dad, and I can’t imagine life without him!

We went on a date, ended up at the book store, which was fun!  On his actual birthday, we did more sledding!

I like the dew drop on the very tip of the flower in this picture below.

Mandy made a cute little snowgirl all by herself.

Hungry?  Just stick out our tongue and eat some snow.

Can’t catch enough snow at one time to make a difference, just pick up a chunk of non-yellow, non-discolored snow and pig out!

Have a great week everyone!
