Let it be known to all the world that I’m an extremely lame mother!
Not only was it Ashley’s birthday a week ago… I’m not even doing her birthday post yet. That’s bad enough, but to make things worse…
Amanda had a birthday 4 weeks ago! Did I post about it!?!
Am I lame or what!
So since I haven’t done Ashley birthday photo shoot yet, here’s Amanda’s!
Like I mentioned, Amanda had a birthday 4 weeks ago. She’s 4 years old! I can’t believe my baby is getting so big! I keep telling my kids that they can’t grow up. They don’t like that idea very much.
Amanda is such a sweetheart! She’s shy but daring, quiet but oh so smart! She absolutely loves one-on-one time and her giggles are just the cutest thing every!
Thankfully she still has one more year of preschool left. I don’t know what I’m going to do when she’s all grown up and in Kindergarten. So sad to think about.

(Jana, recognize that blue chair? You might if it were still it’s normal wood color. That’s one of the chairs you gave us with that dining room set many years ago when I got married! The other 3 chairs in that set are going to be painted “apple green”, “lilac” and “blush”.)

Working on these pictures I realized I must like her profile cause I took a lot of them!

Skipping!

I don’t know how many cameras have this cool feature, but mine has “continuous” shooting. Basically, as long as I’m holding down the shutter button and so long as there’s room on the card, it’ll take 4 pictures a second!
So, here’s a little action slide show that I used that feature on! I think it’s cute!

This is my favorite shot of the “spinning” pictures. I love how her hair is fanning out!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day!
I sure did! It was fun having everyone over for dinner! Sorry you missed it Christie.
So what did I get for Mother’s day!?! I got these beautiful things!

Amanda made me this!

Ashley and Eden made me cards with sweet thoughtful things written in them.
As much as I love beautiful flowers…

I love what Paul didn’t get me for Mother’s Day. Let me explain. I asked Paul how much I could spend on him for Father’s Day and he said $10, so I put a limit on Mother’s Day. He could only spend $10 on me.
He got me this… (stinker)

(it’s an ipad, the batteries are there for size reference)
…but it was more than $10, so when he gave it to me, I got mad and told him that I could spend whatever I wanted on him for Father’s day. He said “That’s not your Mother’s day gift.” I asked what it was for and he said “I got it for you just because I love you.”
Isn’t he a stinker.
I don’t know if I like reading on it or not. I prefer the feel of a book and pages in my hand and being able to see the progress I’m making on the book. But the book I’m reading at the moment is a collection of books by 2 authors all bound in one huge book. We’re talking bigger and thicker and larger and heavier than a regular size scripture quad (the print in the book is about the same size as scripture print too). So reading on the ipad has its advantages, but I don’t think it’ll replace actual books for me.

It props up for easy use while your eating or doing other things. And the screen locks so if you want to lay on your side to read or do stuff on it, the screen won’t rotate on you if you lock it!

The girls have used it more than I have though. There are several games and doodle apps. that they love to play with.

Thank you Paul for my beautiful flowers! And thanks for being a stinker and getting me an ipad too!
